My name is Liselotte Sägesser. I am a single woman born in 1962.
I have worked as a nurse in various fields for the last 20 years:

• Acute hospital
• Nursing home
• Spitex

Why a cat hotel now?
20 years of working in care is enough. I was looking for a solution that would allow me to use my long experience as a nurse. And I wanted to take the step into self-employment.

While working at Spitex, I noticed that looking after cats sometimes became a big problem, whether due to absence on vacation or illness. As I love cats and have had my own for many years, I know the needs of cats and their humans. So the idea was born.

The cat hotel also includes looking after the animals at home. And to round off the offer I offer a transport service as well. Picking up the cats at home and bringing them home again, or taking them to the veterinarian 
I always knew that I didn't want to keep cats individually, so I did an internship at the animal shelter in Oberbottigen in the canton of Bern to get to know the behavior of cats in a group.

The opening of the cat hotel was on May 1, 2005 and has been duly registered with the veterinary office of the canton of Bern.
