In 1966, Fritz Krähenbühl founded the sole proprietorship Fritz Krähenbühl, Oberburg. The company's activities included building construction and civil engineering in the Oberburg and Burgdorf region. His sons Fritz Jr., Andreas, René, and Markus joined their father's company after completing their training. In 1991, the company purchased its first 3-axle truck for its skip service division. Krähenbühl Bau GmbH was founded in 1997. In December 2008, Fritz Krähenbühl Sr. transferred his shares to his sons. The four sons now hold equal shares in Krähenbühl Bau GmbH. Today, Krähenbühl Bau GmbH employs 21 people in the areas of construction, transport, and recycling.
