The breath
Breath is life
Breath accompanies us from the first to the last breath. Every living being needs to breathe. We take in vital oxygen through breathing. This is needed for the metabolic process in our body. The carbon dioxide produced by this process is excreted through breathing. The more unrestricted our breathing is, the more energy and vitality we have at our disposal.
Breathing naturally flows involuntarily and autonomously. However, it can also be influenced voluntarily, for example through movement, speaking and singing, or to consciously relax.
Breath is movement
Every breath moves our body in a gentle way that is adapted to our own rhythm. The main respiratory muscle, the diaphragm and various muscle groups are involved in this breathing movement. This movement is transmitted to the various organs (e.g. digestive organs) in our body. The lowering and swinging back of the diaphragm massages our abdominal organs, for example.
Breath is expression
The exhaled breath enables us to express ourselves, as it is the only way we can speak, sing or laugh heartily.
How we express ourselves depends on our voice. Whether intentional or unintentional, it always reflects a person's state of mind. In addition to the person's body, posture, movement and mental state are also involved in vocalization. In order to be able to present yourself with a confident voice, you need personal strength and emotional power. Working on the breath helps to improve expressiveness.
Treatment
In my practice, I mainly work in individual therapy sessions
.I am able to respond to your personal concerns. During the breathing treatment, you lie clothed on a comfortable couch. The breath reacts to manual stimuli such as pressure, stretching or movement. I use my hands to support your breathing movements, enabling you to become more aware of your body and breathing processes. Development processes are triggered, the breathing rhythm becomes more balanced, which leads to a better body awareness, more resilience, self-confidence and inner stability.
The treatment is complemented by a personal consultation according to your needs.
