History

In 1919, Josef Ritter took over Malerei Lang and changed the name from Malerei Lang to Malerei Ritter. Malerei Ritter made a good name for itself very early on for decorative and lettering painting.

From 1955 to 1961, Josef Ritter was President of the Association of Master Painters and was also a teacher at the trade school.

In 1964, his son Walter Ritter took over the management again and handed it over to his long-time employee Roger Amstein in 1997. He modernizes the business and transforms Walter Ritter Malerei into Atelier Ritter AG and moves to Blattigstrasse in Obernau for space reasons.
