Nowadays, there is a very wide selection of different bed frames to suit every taste, style, and preference. The history of the slatted frame
Orangutans build themselves a new nest every night with care and love, high up in the swaying branches of the rainforest. There they enjoy safety from malicious predators. Humans soon came up with the ingenious idea of building their sleeping quarters a little way off the ground. In addition to protection from vermin, this also brought them convenience and comfort. One culture relied on the principle of hammocks, another on beams and boards – and so the history of slatted frames began.

Pocket spring mattresses
The springs are individually sewn into textile pockets under tension. The greater the load on the springs, the stronger the counterpressure they develop.


Cold foam mattresses
The filling consists of synthetic foam. Unlike hot foam, cold foam is foamed with air at low temperatures and is therefore harmless to health. Cold foam is a contour-reducing material that adapts to the shape of the body.
