Giarolamo Maio

The company founder Girolamo (Gigi) Maio was born on April 28, 1953 in San Giorgio Morgeto/RC in Italy. He grew up in the world of painting from an early age. He always worked as a painter and helped with the restoration of churches in his younger years. In the 1970s, he emigrated to Switzerland and worked as a painter here too.

The sole proprietorship "Malergeschäft Maio" was founded in 1988. In 2000, his son Rocco Maio joined the company.
In 2012, Maio Malergeschäft was transformed into a public limited company - today "Maio Malergeschäft AG" with over 15 employees.
