The Sophie Guyer retirement center is run by a non-profit foundation and is non-denominational. It offers living space and care places for the elderly with needs-based services and provides Spitex services for residents of Pfäffikon and Hittnau who are in need of care and assistance.

Spitex Pfäffikon-Hittnau is part of the retirement center. This enables close and networked cooperation in the care and support of elderly people in the community.

The Sophie Guyer retirement center works according to the principles of responsible action and ensures that people can grow old with dignity by providing competent care and support. Maintaining and promoting physical, mental and social abilities is a central component of the daily work of the center's employees.

The Board of Trustees, the management and the employees are committed to ensuring that the elderly at the Sophie Guyer Retirement Center continue to be respected and taken seriously in society.

Living

Haus Guyer
The venerable Haus Guyer offers a very special living atmosphere in its own room for 10 people.

 
Haus Böndler
In Haus Böndler, 42 residents live in spacious, self-furnished single rooms and are cared for and looked after as required. In the residential group on the first floor, 12 people with dementia receive adapted and competent care and nursing.

Haus Zelgli
Haus Zelgli can accommodate 22 elderly people and people in need of care in modern, spacious single rooms. If more space is required or for couples, ten 2 ½-room apartments and one 3 ½-room apartment are available on the 2nd floor.

Haus Bachtel
Independent but not alone is the motto at Haus Bachtel. Thirteen 2 ½-room and five 3 ½-room apartments are available for couples or individuals who want to access services as required.  

Haus Stocker

"Living with services", one of the forms of living at the Sophie Guyer Foundation,
combines renting an apartment with services specially tailored to your needs,
for a secure and independent quality of life. The 10 2½-room and 2 3½-room apartments are suitable for occupancy by two people. The two 3½-room apartments are preferably allocated to couples. The 12 studios are ideal for one person. You live in your own apartment and yet are not alone.

All five houses are connected to each other in a closed system. A naturally landscaped park invites you to stroll and linger.

Care

At home with Spitex services
The Spitex services Pfäffikon-Hittnau care for, accompany and support you at home.  
Care professionals enable you to live in your own four walls even if you need care. Home helpers ensure that your household remains in good working order.

Short-term care at the retirement center
To relieve the burden on family caregivers, we offer adapted care and support for people in need of care at the retirement center for individual hours, days or nights. This allows them to get to know the facility, the people and the services.

In the retirement apartment
You can live completely independently in the disabled-friendly retirement apartment or make use of some or all of the retirement center's services. We will take care of your laundry as required, clean the apartment, provide care and support and offer you a variety of meals in the Zelglihaus restaurant.

In a single room
We offer you privacy in your personally furnished room. Hotel services such as room cleaning, laundry and meals are included in the basic rate. Nursing and care services are available as required.

In the psychogeriatric residential group
In a specially equipped residential group with its own garden, we care for people with dementia in single or double rooms and adapt the services to the stage of the illness.

Spitex services

Help and care at home
Spitex external care offers quality of life at home.

The services of Spitex Alterszentrum Sophie Guyer can be used by all residents of Pfäffikon and Hittnau. To this end, the municipalities have concluded a service agreement with the Sophie Guyer Retirement Home Foundation.
