In the cellar of today's "Hirschen", the year 1609 is carved into the sandstone in the vault
Around the year 1600, the main traffic axis, the so-called Roman road, ran through today's municipality of Rapperswil BE. This route also served as a post road until around 1750. In the period after 1600, the "Pinte" mule farm was established in Frauchwil with an adjoining agricultural business.
In 1717, the mayor and council of the city of Bern granted H. Häni the right to the Pinte in Frauchwil.
After the Häni generation, a daughter of Häni married a Frauchwiler named Schlup. In 1902, the landlord's daughter Anna Schlup, from the third Schlup generation, married Rudolf Furer from Diessbach.
In 1935, the landlord's daughter Erika Furer married the farmer Ernst Bangerter from Wengi b. Büren.
They ran the business in the first generation Bangerter from 1943 - 1973. Their son Andreas Bangerter and his wife Verena, née Hofmann, ran the business in the second generation from 1973 - 1994. After the older son Fritz Bangerter, a farmer, built a new barn with stables in 1994 and moved out, Andreas Bangerter took over the restaurant.
Andreas Bangerter-Möri is now head chef and runs the business with his wife Elisabeth in the third generation of Bangerter
In 1995, they renovated and converted the farmhouse into a cozy dining restaurant
A beautiful, peaceful garden restaurant with barbecue was also created.
