What is a swimming pond?
Swimming ponds are artificial bodies of water that are sealed off from the ground and protected from the surrounding area. Nature serves as a model for the construction of a swimming pond. The inputs (rainfall, organic material, bathers, etc.) and outputs (evaporation, cleaning, decomposition, etc.) are in balance. The water is cleaned mechanically (e.g. surface cleaning, pond maintenance) and biologically (plants, biofilm, microorganisms). The use of preservatives or disinfectants is not permitted.
