50 years of Hofer AG Metallbau - 50 years of serving the customer The sole proprietorship founded by Walter Hofer in 1951 was transformed into a public limited company in 1974. The start of a 50-year success story. The metal construction company is still located in the same place today as it was over 50 years ago. At Feldmühlestrasse 29, in Rorschach on beautiful Lake Constance, high-quality metal construction and locksmith work has been produced for half a century. The one-man operation has grown into a company with 12 employees.
