Whatever our age, we all have vivid memories of our childhood and adolescence, and all it takes is a piece of music, an image, a voice or even a smell to bring them back.

My name is Barbara Steffen, I'm 52 years old, divorced and have 2 daughters aged 23 and 20.I trained as a commercial employee at the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce in Neuchâtel and then worked for various companies in the region.

We live in Cressier, in the house my parents built in 1973. It's not new, I agree, but it's a good place to live because the neighborhood is quiet and we're just a stone's throw from the forest and vineyards, ideal places for lovely walks. We can, at our leisure, enjoy our large garden and swimming pool, which is certainly not an Olympic pool but in which you can swim, have fun or simply cool off.

If the abilities of the person being cared for allow it, various activities and tasks of daily life can be carried out with the help of my accompaniment :

• Walks

• Shopping

• Board games

• Gardening

Cooking together

Attending events and shows

• Knitting

• Accompaniment to the doctor, physiotherapist, hairdresser and any other appointments.

I prefer to welcome residents for long-term stays, although depending on availability, short-term welcomes are possible.

In case of day welcome only: I can pick the person up in the morning and bring them back in the evening.
