We (Amalie and Ivo Gübeli) have been running the Atzmännig Harz mountain restaurant since May 1, 2013. This includes an alpine farm with 56 cattle. Kira, our dog, is always with us and accompanies us in all our activities.
Previously, we ran a farm with 40 head of young cattle in Goldingen. We gave that up and fulfilled our dream: Ivo always wanted an alpine farm and Amalie wanted a small mountain restaurant.
About the mountain restaurant
The mountain restaurant can only be reached on foot or by chairlift. Due to our remote location, good advance planning is essential, as our basic food supplies are transported by chairlift or our quad bike. We therefore appreciate advance reservations, especially for larger groups.
We now have a fondue restaurant in winter, where we serve a regional cheese fondue. The restaurant is located in the converted alpine stable.
We offer special menu suggestions for groups and also open the restaurant in the evening.
