SPITEX Upper Engadine - Everywhere for everyone
Spitex services are available to people of all ages: after an accident, after childbirth, after outpatient surgery, after a hospital stay, during convalescence, in the event of disability or illness.
Spitex Oberengadin/Engadin Ota is responsible for the following locations: Sils, Silvaplana, St. Moritz, Champfèr, Celerina, Pontresina, Samedan, Bever, Punt-Chamues-ch, La, Madulain, Zuoz, S-chanf, Cinuos-chel.
Who is entitled to Spitex services? According to the Federal Constitution, every citizen in an emergency situation is entitled to the help, care, and support necessary for a dignified existence. This also includes help and care at home. In the canton of Graubünden, the canton and municipalities promote help and care at home.
What is the purpose of Spitex? Thanks to Spitex services, those affected can remain at home in their familiar surroundings or return home earlier from a hospital stay despite personal limitations caused by illness, accident, disability, infirmity, maternity, or similar circumstances. The aim of Spitex is always to maintain and promote the independence of Spitex clients. Spitex employees try to involve the private environment of those affected in the help and care provided whenever possible.
All age groups can benefit from Spitex. Spitex is available to all residents of all ages who are dependent on support due to illness, accident, disability, infirmity, maternity, or similar circumstances. The decisive factors are necessity and a clearly defined need.
What should you do if you need help? First, contact us by phone and briefly describe your personal situation. Our operations manager will then arrange an appointment with you to assess your exact needs for help and support at your home. Together, you will formulate a request for Spitex. We will then contact your family doctor so that they can confirm your needs from a medical perspective. This prescription forms the basis for billing your health insurance company.
Who pays for Spitex services? The costs of assessment, treatment, and basic care are usually covered by health insurance, i.e., health insurance companies cover these expenses, minus the deductible. However, individually determined deductibles must be taken into account.
Client's share of the costs: With the new care financing system , the maximum share of the costs is CHF 8 per day. If the care provided is less than one hour, the client's share is charged on a pro rata basis.
Domestic services are not covered by basic insurance, but can be included in supplementary insurance.
You will receive a monthly invoice from us containing the costs covered by health insurance and those not covered by health insurance. You only have to pay the amount pre-printed on the payment slip. The costs covered by health insurance are settled directly with the health insurance companies via tiers payant. If you have supplementary insurance for non-mandatory services, you must forward the invoice to your health insurance company for reimbursement.
We must charge you for consultations without subsequent treatment.
Cancellation of appointments: Please note that cancellations of appointments lasting up to two hours must be made at least 24 hours in advance, and cancellations of longer appointments must be made at least 48 hours in advance. If cancellations are made at too short notice, the agreed time will be charged at the full rate.
