Spitex is a non-profit organization with a public mandate (service agreement with the municipalities in Sarganserland) and offers a wide range of services in the areas of nursing, care and housekeeping.

Qualified specialist staff provide services to enable people of all ages who need care, support or advice to live at home.

Spitex services are used to supplement the social network and take into account personal possibilities and abilities. The principles of "helping people to help themselves" and "everywhere for everyone" apply.

At the beginning of an assignment, a care professional clarifies on site how much help and care the client needs and how, or whether, the environment can be involved.
