Au début des années 2000 est apparue une nouvelle technique de traitement orthodontique utilisant des gouttières invisibles et amovibles ; Invisalign de Align Technology. Ce traitement s’adressait au début qu'aux adultes, aujourd’hui nous traitons les adolescents également.


Cette technique consiste en une série de gouttières transparentes usinées par de robots, elle sont faites sur mesure à partir d'un plan de traitement approuvé par le clinicien et son patient. Le patient à la possibilité de  voir le résultat final avant-même de commencer le traitement.


Ces gouttières redressent progressivement les dents dans la position voulue.

Ce traitement débute avec la confection de gouttières réalisées à partir des empreintes et se poursuit à domicile à l'aide d'un gel à base de peroxyde d'hydrogène.

Aucun traitement blanchissant ne devrait toutefois être effectué sans un bilan bucco-dentaire préalable, au cours duquel votre médecin-dentiste s'assure de l'absence d'autres pathologies.
