Created in 1958 under the impetus of Robert Métraux, Métraux Transports began its career with the purchase of its first truck dedicated to construction sites. Initially based in the heart of Savigny, the company, which already had 5 vehicles in 1963, soon specialized in timber transport.

Over the years, Métraux Transports has broadened its scope to include worksite transport, long timber, tippers and road trucks. To keep pace with this steady growth in the fleet, the company moved in 1982 to Chemin du Publoz in La Claie-aux-Moines.

This evolution continued with around 30 trucks in service in 1988 and over 50 in 2008, marking the company's fiftieth anniversary. In 1990, a partnership with Gravière de la Claie-aux-Moines strengthened concrete transport, with today 14 vehicles dedicated to this service.

In 2008, Métraux Transports took a significant step forward by erecting a new, modern depot equipped to service its fleet of vehicles. The merger with Granchamp Services SA in 2015 was followed, in July 2023, by the expansion of activities with the addition of Chevalley Transports Chernex.

Currently, Métraux Transports operates in a variety of sectors, from the transportation of concrete and construction materials to snow removal, tipper services and refuse collection. This trajectory underlines the company's commitment and constant growth since its beginnings in 1958.

Currently, Métraux Transports SA is active in numerous transport sectors: mixers, concrete and construction materials, tipper services, truck cranes, road services, log transport, road haulage, school buses and winter services. Our fleet currently comprises some sixty vehicles, including :
