The municipal police are responsible for all municipal policing tasks. The employees are responsible for in particular for permits and the management of public land, for controlling stationary traffic and for all signalization. The municipal police are also responsible for the market, the operation of the lost and found office, the rental of boat moorings and the maintenance of the corresponding boat piers. Applications for advertising, the promotion of cultural events and the display of political advertisements are coordinated by the municipal police. Occasional business permits are processed for events and permits for extensions and boulevard restaurants in the hospitality sector. The operation and maintenance of parking meters and ticket machines as well as the processing of administrative fines also fall within the remit of the municipal police.
