The city police are responsible for all municipal policing tasks. In particular, they deal with permits and the management of public land, the control of stationary traffic, and all signage. The city police are also responsible for markets, the operation of the lost property office, the rental of boat moorings, and the maintenance of the corresponding boat moorings. Advertising requests, the promotion of cultural events, and the posting of political advertisements are coordinated by the city police. For events, temporary catering licenses and, in the hospitality sector, licenses for extensions and boulevard restaurants are processed. The operation and maintenance of parking meters and ticket machines, as well as the processing of fixed penalties, also fall within the remit of the city police.
