Description
Schaffhausen Municipal Theater
The Stadttheater Schaffhausen is one of the most beautiful theaters in Switzerland. From September to May, it presents the best of drama, musical theater, dance and cabaret as well as exciting and imaginative theater for children and families. In addition to new productions of well-known classics, the program regularly includes premieres and new plays presented by artists and ensembles from Switzerland and around the world.
In addition to the theater program, the Stadttheater also hosts concerts by the Musik Collegium Schaffhausen and various other events.
150 years of Stadttheater Schaffhausen means not only the anniversary of a cultural institution firmly anchored in the city, but also the opportunity to take a comprehensive look back over a century and a half of theater and city history. The anniversary book "150 years of the Stadttheater" invites you on an extensive, richly illustrated journey through time. In addition to historical milestones and important productions, the book also introduces the people who have shaped the Stadttheater over the last 150 years.
