Robert Fuchs AG has been managed by Elisabeth Stokmaier-Fuchs (helicopter division) and Paul Birchler (electrical division) since 2006. In 2021, the management (electrical division) was passed on to Marco Müller. Managing Director of Fuchs Helikopter is Robert Stokmaier. "We develop, produce and implement electrical engineering. We are a healthy SME, competent and motivated. As a pleasant employer, we manage our employees according to defined guiding principles, encourage and demand personal responsibility and specialist knowledge!" These are the principles of founder Robert Fuchs; the company management is still guided by his values today and continues to develop them in line with the times.

52 employees work in development, production, order processing, administration and helicopter operations. The Electrical Engineering and Helicopter Operations divisions continue to operate under one roof.

Robert Fuchs' passion for flying led to the establishment of the helicopter business. In 1968, he purchased a Hughes 500C helicopter and founded a flight school. The company has a commercial agency for Hughes helicopters and specializes in training, transport, film and photo flights. Fuchs helicopters are used in numerous sports and other SF DRS broadcasts.

The "turbine construction for small power plants" business is another specialty of Robert Fuchs AG. This is developed after the company acquires the rights to use the small reservoir above the production site by relocating production to Nesslau. In 1984, it builds a new pressure pipeline from Jental to Nesslau and produces a customized Pelton turbine for the company's own small power plant. The experience gained in the process is decisive for the continuous development of this business division.

Company history

In 1952, Robert Fuchs begins to develop and produce electrotechnical articles. On January 12, 1956, he supplied the Netstal power station with the first registered concrete cable distribution cabinets.

In 1958, he founded the sole proprietorship Robert Fuchs-Bamert. This develops favorably and invests entrepreneurially in production facilities, residential buildings and commercial buildings with a residential component. In the newly established workshops, the single-pole switched NH fuse bases are produced in-house.

10 years later, the electrical engineering company launches the first prefabricated prefabricated foundation for concrete cable distribution boxes on the market. The success of this product continues!

In the following 15 years,

• the construction of the hard surface at Wangen Airport is realized

• the first Hughes 500C helicopter is purchased

• and the first prefabricated underground transformer station is put into operation at the Männedorf power station

In the 1970s and 1980s, the company achieves important milestones: The first 3-pole switched NH fuse-switch disconnector is delivered, concrete production gets the urgently needed new hall, Jental-Nesslau power production gets a new pressure line, operations and production are expanded. From 1998, the motto is: steel yes, but stainless!

In 1999, Robert Fuchs designs the Chipole dam in Tanzania; he connects the associated power plant to the grid in 2005.

In July 2006, company founder Robert Fuchs died, after his wife and closest colleague, Maria Fuchs-Bamert, passed away in 2005. During his lifetime, Robert Fuchs planned a succession solution and the transfer of the shareholder council to the next generation. The Board of Directors and the employees of Robert Fuchs AG will continue to pursue the proven values of Robert Fuchs himself in the further development of the company: reliability, innovation, top quality and high-quality practical benefits in all areas of activity.
