Berggasthof Alte Post

The Alte Post in Schuders is a cozy, rustic, and stylish mountain inn located 1,270 meters above sea level, offering wonderful views of the Rätikon massif (Graubünden Dolomites) and the Prättigau valley.

The mountain inn can be reached by car and post bus via the world-famous Salginatobel Bridge. Various hiking and biking trails also lead to the Alte Post and offer opportunities for excursions in all directions.

Gerti and Markus Hitz welcome you to the cozy Schuderserstübli (seating for up to 16 people). The beautiful rustic hall can seat up to 40 people for dining. This hall is also very suitable for seminars, company and family events. In good weather, a covered arbor and a wonderful terrace invite you to linger.

The kitchen (Tyrolean cuisine and regional specialties) will spoil you with multi-course menus on request and reservation.

For overnight stays, we offer 4 cozy double rooms with shower/WC and a tourist dormitory or family room with 12 beds and a shower.

We generally recommend making a reservation, which you can do by phone or email. Groups of 8 or more are also welcome during the week outside of official opening hours upon request.

Opening hours: Saturday–Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Open until the end of December for private parties only. The restaurant will remain closed until then.
