The company

Emmental-Mühle in Schüpbach is an innovative family business that has remained in the hands of the Wüthrich family since it opened in 1900. Today, the company is run by the third generation of the family and has three employees.

The active business

In addition to standard types of flour, the family business produces 50 special types of flour, which, unlike those produced by large manufacturers, are all made without artificial additives. The exceptional quality of our products is highly valued by both large and small customers alike. As a further specialty, we also offer baking courses and tastings. In addition, we conduct factory tours so that customers can see for themselves the careful production process on site.

Business activities

Our great advantage is our flexibility. This enables us to supply large distributors, bakeries, restaurants, hotels, retirement and nursing homes, direct marketers, specialty stores, and private households. In addition, we operate our own flour store at our company headquarters, which serves our ever-growing number of regular and repeat customers.

Company philosophy

We attach great importance to the quality of our products. The wide range of specialty flours enables us to continue offering our customers an extensive assortment in the future. We only use organically grown natural products from the region as the basis for our production . The products are continuously tested and new ideas created in our in-house test bakery. This enables us to provide our customers with comprehensive support in all matters relating to baking. That is why not only production and sales, but also advising our customers is of great importance to us.

Specialties

We are constantly adapting our family business to the latest developments and customer requirements. We also work with medical specialists to implement findings from nutritional counseling. We use two natural stone mills to produce various whole grain products, which enable special mixtures of whole food products to be created using a traditional, gentle process.
