Mosimann Sanitär + Metallbau GmbH

Mosimann Sanitär + Metallbau GmbH in Schüpbach began over 140 years ago in Signau and is still owned by the Mosimann family today.

Around 1880, Jakob Mosimann acquired the smithy built in 1768 on Unterfuure in the municipality of Signau. He started his business with blacksmithing and farriery. Later, his brother Gottfried took over the business.
In 1974, Hans-Ulrich Mosimann acquired the property at Eggiwilstrasse 7 (formerly 79) in Schüpbach. He started his business with sanitary installations, metal construction, and locksmith work, as well as utility lines on behalf of the municipality of Signau.

In 2001, 300 square meters of commercial space were rented at Hauptstrasse 15 in Schüpbach and a modern plumbing business was set up. With an eye to the future, the sole proprietorship was converted into "Mosimann Sanitär + Metallbau GmbH" in 2004. Martin and his father Hans-Ulrich Mosimann were equal owners. Since 2013, Martin Mosimann has been the sole owner of the business. However, his father, now retired, still enthusiastically helps out wherever he can as senior manager.
