Mosimann Sanitär + Metallbau GmbH in Schüpbach began over 140 years ago in Signau and is still in the hands of the Mosimann family today.

Around 1880, Jakob Mosimann acquired the smithy built in 1768 on Unterfuure in the municipality of Signau. He began his business with blacksmithing and farriery work, and his brother Gottfried later continued the business.
In 1974, Hans-Ulrich Mosimann acquired the property at Eggiwilstrasse 7 (formerly 79) in Schüpbach. He began his business activity with sanitary installations, metal construction and locksmith work as well as pipelines on behalf of the municipality of Signau.

In 2001, 300 square meters of commercial space were rented at Hauptstrasse 15 in Schüpbach and a modern plumbing business was set up. Looking to the future, the sole proprietorship was transformed into "Mosimann Sanitär + Metallbau GmbH" in 2004. The owners were Martin and his father Hans-Ulrich Mosimann in equal shares. Since 2013, Martin Mosimann has been the sole owner of the business. However, as a retired senior boss, his father still passionately helps out wherever he can.
