50 years of Biblioteca Engiadinaisa
On June 5, 2012, the Biblioteca Engiadinaisa celebrated its 50th anniversary. Starting with just under 3,000 books on one floor, the Biblioteca Engiadinaisa's media collection now comprises more than 18,000 books, almost 2,000 CDs with audio texts and music, and a good 700 DVDs spread over three floors.
With its beautiful building in Sils Baselgia and its magnificent view of Lake Sils and the mountains, the Biblioteca Engiadinaisa provides a bibliophile setting that is still captivating today.
Over the past 50 years, the books and non-books have been borrowed a good 350,000 (!) times. In addition to locals, many vacationers are also among the library's users.
