Rehabilitation, as defined by the World Health Organization (1968), is: "The combined and coordinated use of medical, social, educational and vocational measures, to train or retrain the individual, to his highest level of functional ability."

With this in mind, Suva has designed the Clinique romande de réadaptation. It is located on the outskirts of the town of Sion, the capital of Valais, in the immediate vicinity of the hospital site and the Institut Central des Hôpitaux Valaisans. It has a total surface area of 34,000 m2 and employs over 350 people.

The particularly sunny climate, the beauty of the mountains, the proximity of the city and the various courses laid out on the site enable patients to increase their range of action according to their regained abilities.

Suva also has a clinic in German-speaking Switzerland, in Bellikon.
