A village electricity cooperative faces the same challenges as a regional or supra-regional electricity company. The partially liberalized energy market, intelligent metering systems (smart meters), new consumption models such as ZEV etc. or preparing for crisis situations (OSTRAL) are just a few examples. Elektra Sissach operates "sissanet - the fiber optic network for everyone" in Sissach. It is the fastest connection for Internet, TV and landline users. sissanet also offers leased lines (Dakfibre) at favorable conditions or rents out rack space for data redundancy in a secure room (POP).
