False vision is not a disease, but the imperfection of the eye, which often also leads to headaches and watery / tired eyes. A distinction is made between three types of refractive error:
- Short-sightedness or myopia
- Farsightedness or hyperopia
- Astigmatism in conjunction with hyperopia or myopia
Do you need high-quality spectacle lenses and / or contact lenses (daily contact lenses / monthly contact lenses)? Or sports glasses, perhaps children's glasses for your little ones? Are you interested in varifocal lenses? Do you know the possibilities of so-called premium lenses? Have you heard of EyeLT lenses, for example? (which improves near vision by up to 40 %). Do you notice reduced vision at short distances, but don't want to wear varifocals permanently? (then there are progressive lenses for you, i.e. multifocal lenses - these require a very precise fitting, somewhat more complex than usual). If you have astigmatism, you are often best served by semi-hard contact lenses (i.e. a middle ground between soft and hard). But perhaps you simply need protective lenses for various purposes? Depending on your personal case and disorder pattern, you may also be entitled to certain benefits under compulsory basic insurance and/or supplementary health insurance, e.g. for cataracts, diabetes, macular disorders, eye muscle disorders, amblyopia or medication. You will be reimbursed by the health insurance company for lenses, depending on the dioptric power for myopia, hyperopia and anisometropia. Irregular astigmatism, keratoconus, corneal diseases or curvatures/injuries, iris defects or status after corresponding operations are also supported.
In all these and the vast majority of other cases, you have come to the right place. We regard every customer or patient and every visual problem as unique. Because every eye is unique. That's why there are no one-size-fits-all solutions for eye tests, vision correction techniques, etc., but there is the best possible advice and the most individual solution.
With regard to eyewear, we offer good-looking solutions with the advice of our opticians, the professional analysis equipment and the brand frames in our selected range, including the following
providers:
Ray Ban, Adidas, Silhouette, Diesel, Charmant, (Emporio) Armani, Tavat, Oakley, Valentino, Mollerus, Dilem, Swarovski and others. A large selection of sunglasses as well as special glasses, such as shooting glasses, can also be tested by you.
When it comes to contact lenses you can expect from us not only our well-known excellent standard lens fitting, but also special lens fittings for a wide variety of eye problems, including for children. We are at your side with help and advice!
In addition to correctable visual impairments, some of which are age-related, there is also a visual impairment known as "low vision", which cannot be corrected with simple glasses or contact lenses.
The following causes can lead to this type of visual impairment or "low vision":
- Age-related macular degeneration (AMD)
- Diabetic retinopathy
- Vascular retinal problems
- Glaucoma (increased eye pressure)
- Traumatic eye injuries
- Retinitis pigmentosa (hereditary disease of the retina)
- Usher syndrome (hereditary disease, affects vision and hearing)
Our individual low vision consultation aims to make the best possible use of your remaining vision. During a detailed diagnostic consultation, the individual situation of the patient's visual impairment is clarified with the help of tests and situational discussions. Depending on the individual needs and everyday situations, the appropriate aids are then used. Of course, it is also important to receive the latest advice so that you can see as well as possible in the future.
