Educational center Sommeri

The educational center Sommeri (BS) offers people with cognitive impairments training, work and residential places according to individual needs. Accommodation is available both on the premises and in external residential groups at the Obersommeri, Amriswil and Romanshorn sites.

People with disabilities provide industrial and commercial services for the primary labor market. BS offers the following products and services:

Production

• Industry (serial assembly, disassembly, assembly and packaging orders)

• Gardening

 Services

• Laundry

• Catering (birthday parties, AGMs and other events)

• Operational maintenance

• Cleaning

Our services offer people with disabilities a meaningful day structure with support that is tailored to their individual needs. The holistic day structure is supplemented by sports and educational activities during working hours.

The commute to work is possible by public transport, as the working hours are based on this (08:15 - 16:45 including breaks). The workload can be selected between 50-100%, provided you have an IV pension. Five weeks' holiday or unpaid leave is available per year in consultation with the management.

If people with disabilities work at BS and live independently or in another institution, the day structure team offers support and networking for issues outside of work. They also organize regular leisure activities on evenings and weekends for external employees.
