The Evangelische Bürgschafts- und Darlehensgenossenschaft des Kantons St. Gallen (EBDG SG for short) was founded in 1950. Members of the cooperative are all Protestant Reformed parishes in the canton of St. Gallen (see page Parishes).

Members of the Protestant Reformed Church resident in the Canton of St. Gallen are advised by the EBDG on financial matters. Where the financial situation justifies it, the EBDG grant loans or mortgages and provide guarantees. À-fonds-perdu contributions of a welfare nature are excluded.

Sister cooperatives with the same objectives exist in the cantons of Graubünden, Zug and Zurich.

The cooperative has no profit-making intentions.
