The funicular offers privileged access to Mont-Soleil and its range of tourism and leisure activities. Perched at 1173 m above sea level on the heights of Saint-Imier, Mont-Soleil will delight sports enthusiasts, gourmets, the curious and other friends of nature, summer and winter alike.
The former will find plenty to do among the many escapist possibilities offered from the funicular, from trott'energy (downhill scooter tours), to velectro (electric bike tour) or to traditional hiking tours.
In winter, snow lovers will delight in a hike on PowerSnow snowshoes, or cross-country skiing. The cross-country ski trails on the Mont-Soleil ridges pass at the foot of the wind turbines and not far from the solar power plant. They offer interesting glimpses of both the Chasseral and the Plateau franc-montagnard.
