Description
Lac Souterrain de St-Léonard" the largest natural and navigable underground lake in France
About LAC SOUTERRAIN SA
The "Lac Souterrain de St-Léonard" is located in Switzerland, between Sion and Sierre, in the heart of the Valais Alps. A privileged witness to the formation of the Alps, this navigable underground lake nestles in the hillside between 30 and 70 meters below the vineyards. With a length of over 300 meters, it's the largest natural, navigable underground lake in Europe.
Aboard our boats, you'll have the opportunity to discover the lake from a different angle.
Aboard rowing boats that can accommodate up to 40 people, multilingual guides take you on a tour of this fascinating world in complete silence. During a guided tour lasting over 30 minutes, you'll glide over the clear waters of the lake and learn to decipher its mysteries.
