HISTORY

The non-profit association; "La Bouche qui Rit" was founded in 2006 by Jacky Lagger. Artist, composer, musician, Jacky Laggerdreams of making people dream; so he imagines a place where artists close to their audience spend an unforgettable evening in a Bouche qui Rit setting.

Plates, chimes, shoes and umbrellas adorn the ceiling, a forest to reach the bar, lighting highlighting the stage and its artists, a room where over 500 instruments sing, a window display in the colors of life...A unique place...

This cre-active space is being created at Rue du bourg 11 in Aigle in a former butcher's shop. Since October 13, 2010, Bouche Qui Rit has moved to Saint-Maurice (Route Cantonale 5) in a former motel.

ETHICAL CHARTER

In order to offer a respectful place that leaves room for imagination, a charter is established:

• A peaceful place where the R of Respect is the Rule.
• An acoustic stage and daytime and early evening schedules, respectful of its neighborhood.
• A place to exchange ideas, talk and listen.
• Playful, smiling workshops; children welcomed with the R of their sweetest dreams.
• Shows chosen with Universality, Tolerance and Inventiveness in mind.
• A place of  R, of Breathing where worries, conflicts, segregation, intolerance, addictions (smoke, alcohol, drugs) incivility have no entry.
• A place where Respect is breathed.
