WOOD CONSTRUCTION
Wood construction is an old and independent field that differs from other areas of construction in terms of its specific techniques and materials. Since the beginning of the 19th century, the possibilities have been continuously developed.
Nowadays, there are almost no limits to building with wood. The field of timber construction includes various technologies such as log construction, post-and-beam construction, frame construction, stud construction, skeleton construction, as well as newer techniques such as wood panel construction or stacked board elements, which are mainly used for the construction of residential and commercial buildings, etc. The goal of our company is to offer a wide range of timber construction services.
From attractive chalets to various types of timber houses and Minergie buildings, structural engineering projects, public and commercial buildings, and the diverse field of agriculture. And all this at a fair price/performance ratio and in the best possible quality.

SAWMILL
In addition to our timber construction business, our company also operates its own log band sawmill. It has been part of the business since Hans Moor founded it in 1952 and was considered a secure source of income at the time, thanks in part to its proximity and central catchment area.
The location of the sawmill was convenient, as the freshly cut round timber from the surrounding areas could be transported directly to the sawmill with very little effort. Some of it was also used for our own consumption in the carpentry workshop. In 2000, the entire sawmill was renovated for reasons of age and a new, digitally controlled Artiglio log clamping carriage was installed. Since then, it has even been possible to saw logs up to a maximum length of 18 meters and a thickness of 1 meter. Around 200-400 m³ of round timber is processed into sawn timber each year.
Today, we mainly saw wood from companies or farmers. However, we also purchase fresh round timber for our own use each year as needed, which helps to balance out the workload during the winter months. The advantage of the log band saw unit is that it allows us to obtain different cut products from each individual log, enabling us to process individual cuts, trimmings, saw veneers, or special workpieces (e.g., for log builders).
