Milan Metall

I was born on October 24, 1978, in Zug and grew up in Rifferswil in the Säuliamt region. After attending the Rudolf Steiner School in Baar, I completed a four-year apprenticeship as a metalworker at the Häberling art forge in Uerzlikon. It was during this time that I developed a fascination for traditional forging techniques, which I learned while restoring antique objects to their original condition. This enthusiasm has stayed with me ever since and now benefits various custom-made products. Before becoming self-employed, I worked in various other companies in the metal industry to deepen my craftsmanship. These included the metal workshop at Zurich Opera House, Affaire Metallwerkstatt Zurich, and the Sonderegger locksmith's shop in Frasnacht TG.

 

I have been self-employed since 2004, spending a year working in various jobs in southern Africa. I am married and the father of three girls. Since 2015/16, I have been living and working in Stäfa on Lake Zurich.
