The roots of the Wyss painting business go back to 1900. It was founded by Jost Sifrig, father-in-law of the later business owner Werner Wyss, who built up the actual dynasty of "Möli Wyss". From 1970 to 1984, his son Walter Wyss - who died in 2005 - ran the business. Erich Wyss was responsible for the company from 1985 to 2020. Marco Wyss has been the managing director since 2021.
