Tariff: Dear patients
On January 1, 2018, the revised dental fee schedule between the Swiss Dental Association (SSO) and the federal social insurance agencies for accident, military, and disability insurance (UV/MV/IV) came into effect. Our fee schedule for private patients (DENTOTAR®) is closely based on this fee schedule in terms of structure and composition. As a result, you will find new fee items and, above all, a new tax point value on your dental bill in the future.

The tax point value for UV/MV/IV is now CHF 1.00

The tax point value for private patients is now CHF 1.00 (5% discount for cash payments)

Only dental cleanings will incur higher costs for you as a private patient. For children, the costs for fillings and sealants have increased. Mandatory benefits under compulsory health insurance (OKP) are not affected by this tariff revision. Until further notice, the old tariff with a tax point value of CHF 3.10 (KVG tax point value) will continue to apply. Supplementary health insurance for dental treatment (according to VVG) will be billed according to the revised tariff and the invoice can be submitted to the health insurance companies as before. Please contact us if you have any problems with your insurance company regarding billing or if you have any other questions. We are happy to help. Previous cost estimates remain valid (2 months).

Implantology is the most advanced method of replacing lost teeth. It provides reliable and aesthetically pleasing solutions. Implants are made of titanium. The body accepts titanium as if it were its own tissue. There are no known allergic reactions. Inserted on an outpatient basis, under local or general anesthesia, the titanium implant forms a stable base for your new teeth after the healing phase. Implants replace a missing single tooth or close larger gaps between teeth. The implant functions like an artificial tooth root and provides a secure base for attaching crowns, bridges, or dentures. Implant-supported teeth look like your own. The new teeth are matched to the shape and color of the surrounding teeth. The advantages speak for themselves: high wearing comfort, unrestricted chewing function, and natural taste sensation.

Periodontology – One of the most common dental diseases among the population is periodontitis. Often incorrectly referred to as periodontal disease.
Periodontitis is an inflammatory disease of the periodontium caused by periodontal bacteria and can occur regardless of age, on one or more teeth at the same time, at different rates and in varying degrees of severity. Periodontitis is caused by bacteria that accumulate between the teeth and gums. If this bacterial plaque is not removed by thorough cleaning with a toothbrush and dental floss, it forms a hard, bumpy coating (tartar). Over time, this leads to redness, swelling, and bleeding of the gums. If left untreated, this inflammation can destroy the fibers that connect the teeth to the jawbone and eventually lead to bone loss. Without fibers and bone, the teeth begin to loosen and may eventually be lost.

Pediatric dentistry – Children who learn proper dental care have a good chance of enjoying healthy teeth as adults. Dental care should begin with the first teeth, because intact baby teeth are the prerequisite for healthy permanent teeth.
Preventive check-ups are worthwhile. They help prevent damage and serious diseases. Thorough dental care and regular prophylaxis should become a habit from childhood onwards.
