Description
Apartment inspection
The official moving date is just around the corner and many tenants are moving to a new home. All the damage comes to light during the final inspection. But when is it normal wear and tear and when does the tenant have to pay? How clean must it be? What should an owner pay particular attention to when inspecting the apartment to avoid trouble later on?
Your preparation:
- Rental agreement (incl. any addenda, agreements, etc.)
- Rent start/end date (terminated on..., liability until...)
- What maintenance work and investments were carried out before moving in (receipts required)?
- Take the moving-in protocol with you to the handover. This way, both you and the tenant can check which defects were already present when the tenant moved in. (List of defects from the tenant/landlord; handover protocol)
- Was a rent deposit paid, if so, in what amount?
- Is there any outstanding rent?
- What was agreed regarding final cleaning?
Costs
The first half hour is free for members. It is paid for by the association. From the second half hour, the services cost CHF 75.00 per half hour plus additional expenses. The costs are collected directly from the experts.
