SPITEX Region Thun AG – Contacts & Location
Description
SPITEX Region Thun AG brings quality of life to the home
SPITEX Region Thun AG is a non-profit public limited company that provides assistance and care at home on behalf of the Canton of Bern.
The catchment area of SPITEX Region Thun AG comprises the municipalities of Thun, Spiez, Heimberg and Sigriswil with 62,700 inhabitants.
As one of the largest SPITEX organizations in the canton of Berne, we are in a position to align our operations with new developments and requirements in terms of the range of services, quality of work and financing. We have reached an operational size that enables us to further develop special services such as palliative care, psychosocial care, dementia support, housekeeping, care and support in collaboration with Thun Hospital, retirement homes, doctors' surgeries, etc. in addition to our core services.
Our goals
We aim to provide support that meets the needs of our patients so that they can remain in their familiar surroundings - or return home earlier from an inpatient stay. It is very important to us to encourage and guide healthy people of all ages to maintain their health and to support sick people in regaining their health. We incorporate the principle of promoting and maintaining the independence of our patients into our holistic support, be it in the household, in care or in a consultation.
Costs and tariffs
Who pays for SPITEX services?
Our services are subsidized by the Canton of Bern and can therefore be used at socially acceptable rates.
Care hours are covered by health insurance as part of basic insurance or are paid for by accident or disability insurance.
Home care services are not covered by compulsory health insurance, but by any supplementary insurance.
You also have the option of receiving a contribution towards the costs via the AHV/IV supplementary benefits, provided the legal requirements for this are met. Seek advice from an appropriate office (AHV branch office, Pro Senectute).
