Andreas and Franz von Bergen took over two Scania-Vabis trucks, including the customers of Peter Stähli-Huggler, on April 1, 1970 and founded their own company under the name Gebrüder Andreas und Franz von Bergen, Autotransporte.

At this time, they mainly transported logs and sawn timber and carried out tipper work.

The company made continuous investments and was developed further according to demand, and when the opportunity arose in 1983 to expand into the construction sector with the takeover of Peter Schild's building materials business in Brienzwiler, the company seized this opportunity and expanded this area more and more.

In 1992, the company Gebrüder Andreas and Franz von Bergen was transformed into the public limited company von Bergen Transporte AG on the one hand and the general partnership Gebrüder von Bergen, which trades in animal feed and building materials, on the other. Since then, the company has continued to expand.

On January 1, 2011, the business was handed over to Rolf, André and Bruno von Bergen. From this date, the general partnership Gebrüder von Bergen is also integrated into von Bergen Transporte AG.

Von Bergen Transporte AG will continue to respond dynamically to demand and economic aspects in the future. In particular, we are anxious to meet the ecological and increased environmental requirements and to be innovative in the above-mentioned business areas.
