Jessica Jaccoud, avocate

Ms. Jaccoud studied at the Universities of Geneva and Neuchâtel. At the end of her academic career, she obtained a master's degree in law with a specialization in sports law.

She has been a licensed lawyer since February 2015 and worked as a legal advisor for a legal protection insurance company before co-founding the law firm M & Avocats with Nicolas Mattenberger in March 2016.

Among her professional experiences, Ms. Jaccoud worked for four years at the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) in Nyon.

She is also an authorized representative of Asloca and has been providing pro bono consultations to the tenant rights section in Vevey for several years.

In parallel with her professional career, Jessica Jaccoud was a member of the Vaud Grand Council from July 2014 to November 2023. Since December 2023, she has served as a National Councilor in the Federal Parliament. She is a member of two prestigious committees related to her professional activities, namely the Legal Affairs Committee and the Judicial Committee.

She also served as president of her cantonal party for four years between 2018 and 2022.

At the association level, she is a member of the committees of Asloca Suisse, Asloca Vaud, and Asloca Régions. She is also a member of the initiative committee for parental leave in the canton of Vaud.
