Everyone knows the name LOUREJOINTS: vehicles bearing the company's logo criss-cross the roads of the District of Sierre and the Canton.

 

This company, a true family SME, was born from the will, audacity and tenacity of one man: Armando De Loureiro. While still working as an employee in a company in the Vaud region, Armando De Loureiro specialized in all areas of waterproofing. Noting that he frequently traveled to work on construction sites in the Valais, Armando De Loureiro soon realized that this type of company was in high demand and lacking in the French-speaking Valais.

In 1990, he therefore took the initiative of setting up his own sole proprietorship: "Lourejoints" was born. In the early days, the company specialized in the manufacture of sealing joints. As is often the case in such ventures, Armando De Loureiro benefited from the support and help of his wife Micaela. While Armando was in charge of customer contacts, preparing quotations and then carrying out the work, Micaela took care of administration, bookkeeping and telephone reception.

It didn't take long for the company to sink its roots into the economic fabric of Siena. In just a few years, it grew so fast that by 1995 it already had four outside employees. As the company grew, it had to move to the Commune of Veyras, where it found premises suited to its needs. Gradually, Armando De Loureiro developed other areas related to waterproofing, namely concrete restoration, road jointing, injections, fireproof joints, roof and terrace waterproofing, as well as industrial floor laying.

In 1998, realizing that their company's business was growing, Armando and Micaela De Loureiro decided to transform the sole proprietorship into a limited company.

Lourejoints SA, a limited company based in Veyras, was born. From the outset, Micaela De Loureiro assumed the presidency of the board of directors alongside Mme. Nathalie Bonvin. Armando De Loureiro is the company's managing director.

Despite persistent health problems, Armando De Loureiro tirelessly pursued the task of developing his business. Realizing once again that the premises and workshops were too cramped, and that he needed space to store equipment, Armando De Loureiro proposed moving the workshops once again to the Îles Falcons industrial estate in Sierre, with the administration and secretariat remaining in Veyras.

This time, Armando De Loureiro's business is still going strong.

 

 

 

As a true entrepreneur, Armando De Loureiro has focused on continually conquering new markets. He has developed his company's business not only in the Sierroise region, but throughout the canton of Valais, and even, increasingly, outside the canton.

The company's success is based on a strong commitment to innovation.

 

In 2010, after 20 years in business, Lourejoints SA has around 15 employees in the field. Armando De Loureiro is in charge of site management and customer contacts. Micaela remains loyal to her post, in charge of administration and accounting. Today, Lourejoints SA is harmoniously pursuing its development in Valais and neighbouring regions.

 

Lourejoints SA, a young, dynamic SME, is the fruit of the enthusiasm and commitment of its owners, Armando and Micaela De Loureiro.
