Tenuta Castello di Morcote

Tenuta Castello di Morcote is a 150-hectare agricultural and wine estate located on a promontory entirely surrounded by Lugano Lake. The estate encompasses 7 hectares of terraced vineyards, olive groves, extensive pastures, and forests. At the heart of the property stands the Castello di Morcote, built in the 15th century and expanded during the reign of Bianca Maria Visconti and Francesco Sforza. The vineyards are positioned between 400 and 500 meters altitude on steep south-facing slopes, benefiting from thermal lake winds and volcanic soil composition (pink porphyry and quartz). The estate practices organic and biodynamic agriculture, producing wines that authentically express their terroir.
