My name is Alberto Giacometti, I am married to Isabella and we have 3 children.

I was born on February 12, 1974 and after compulsory schooling in Bergell, I moved to Chur to complete an apprenticeship as a painter.

In 1993, I returned to Bergell to work in my father Renato's business.

During this time, I regularly attended further education and training courses. Between 1999 and 2001, I moved to Zurich to attend the master painter school and take the subsequent federal examination.

In 2004, I took over my father's painting business.
Renato Giacometti founded it in 1964, and seven years later the workshop was built in Vicosoprano, which was expanded in 1999.

Together with two employees and an apprentice, we carry out professional painting work. Our goal is the complete satisfaction of our customers.

We are active in Bergell and Oberengadin and are members of the Swiss Painting and Plastering Contractors Association (SMGV).

 

PHILOSOPHY

We try to fulfill the wishes of our customers by advising them and supporting them in their decisions.

The building and site typology, the existing materials, the weather and wear and tear are factors that we evaluate individually and selectively.

We try to finish or decorate a room or façade according to the needs of the occupants. The appropriate materials and techniques are used to achieve this.

The company owner is constantly informed about the work in progress and tries to be present during the execution.

Training, perseverance and interest in lost or innovative techniques are part of our company philosophy.

Kt. Color the paint manufacturer

It is a company based in Uster that has rediscovered the beauty and color intensity of organic and inorganic natural pigments. These are combined with either modern binders or binders used a hundred years ago

The unique luminosity and incredible depth of these colors are only achieved thanks to the use of 120 different pigments. In comparison, the conventional paint industry uses around 30 different pigments to produce paints.

We attend annual on-site courses to benefit from the full range of materials and colors. Now we have a wide, handmade sample collection consisting of 225 different colors.
