Brief history since the opening of the School of Sculpture in Villa Luganese, from 2005 to 2016, 

For many years I had been keeping a "dream" in my drawer,

the opening of a School of sculpture and painting,

but it has always been very difficult to find a suitable location, partly because of the high rent and operating costs. 

Finally in 2005 I found a venue for this Sculpture School project of mine in Villa Luganese, in a new structure built and owned by Mr. and Mrs. Raffaele Zamblera and Mr. and Mrs. Oliviero Ghirlanda, with whom a friendly collaboration was immediately established, the structure is located right under the majestic "Denti della Vecchia" where as a boy I was a shepherd of sheep and goats and where I began to paint my first small paintings, with the Great fortune of having met Pepo Frigerio, grandson of the Great painter Ambrogio Preda and Ugo Moglia, whom I met  in 1954 during their extemporaries, in the Logo area in Sonvico with Ugo Moglia and at the Alpe Valà, above Cadro, with my friend Pepo Frigerio,  from whom I received a lot of advice while also trying to find my own way as a " young canvas painter." We were back in 1954-1955, ( how much water has passed under the bridge ).

To adapt the spaces in the new in Villa Luganese, for the teaching rooms and the formation of the warehouse, I also created a department to display the works on the second floor,  also adapted and specifically to accommodate disabled users and schoolchildren,  for all the transformation and organization to furnish the infrastructure, with working tools, special tables for

disabled people, facilitating their entry with wheelchairs to other special equipment, for opening and entry into operation  we worked for c.a. 16 months, with the help of relatives and friends.                                     

For the onerous financial commitment, I involved  my family, helping me to realize this dream of mine, of course I realized early on that it would not be possible for me to maintain it alone with my maybes, so in 2005 I sent letters to Canton Ticino, Dip. Fin. Promovimento Economico, to the Ente Regionale Valli di Lugano, to the Municipalities, of Lugano, Sonvico and other neighboring municipalities, ( now part of Greater Lugano ),  to Banking Institutions, to  foundations, to insurance companies and private  and public associations, to  friends and acquaintances, introducing them to my project of Sculpture School and Special School for disabled persons and Special School students, asking them if they would be willing to help me financially for the conduct of the school, with my " Motto ", I offer my work to those who help me. 

In early 2006, I received  responses of support from the first  promoters  of the project :

This significant support immediately enabled me to have a more peaceful running and planning of the School with the setting up of the premises.

Exhibition in the Municipal Hall of Cadenazzo,  with Friend Edgardo Rezzonico ( deceased in 2014 ), with his daughter Claudia, recognizing in my person as an artist, the expression of culture in the service of the less favored, they invited me to exhibit the works of Liliana Rezzonico ( deceased in 2009 ),  Edgardo's wife and Claudia's mother and my fellow painter, donating the proceeds of the exhibition to the project,

Looking for supporters for the year 2017.

the 11th year since the opening of the School of Sculpture and the project for people with disabilities, in Villa Luganese,
the courses started on February 9 2017,
1- special course for disabled adults, users of the Neggio Spring
2- course for students of the Special Schools in Pregassona.
3- course for Viganello Day Care Center users.
4- course for Adults.
To organize it all I am looking for supporters
each supporter from fr. 100.- to fr. 500.-, will be offered a painting of his choice, for sculptures, price to be agreed.
