Who is behind Studio Miranda? I'm Robynn: I've been knitting and crocheting all my life and occasionally work as a designer. I also used to run an online shop for knitting accessories in the UK. I feel like I've been working towards opening this space for you my whole life.

Studio Miranda is guided by three core values:

Playful creativity. Handicrafts should be fun! We encourage you to try new techniques and find patterns that will help you develop your skills. We also look for beginner-friendly kits and materials for hobbies beyond knitting and crocheting, so you can step outside your comfort zone.

Community. The shared joy of crafting is a powerful connection. After moving from my home country of South Africa to London in 2002 and then on to Zurich in 2013, knitting circles helped me put down new roots. Studio Miranda offers you a place to bring your friends or meet like-minded people. Try a workshop or simply come to one of our open days to see what we mean.

Conscious consumption. Conscious consumption. We want you to feel good about your purchases from Studio Miranda. That's why they come from suppliers who share your concern for the planet and animal welfare. To ensure sustainability, we look for products that are certified accordingly. Most come from independent manufacturers—run by families or women—who are just as passionate about their craft as we are.

Another reason you should feel good about your Studio Miranda purchases is that you know you will actually use them and that they won't just disappear into your stash.
