The lawyer and public notary lic. iur. Matthias Gmünder founded the Gmünder law firm at Bahnhofstrasse 7 in 9630 Wattwil in 1980.

After more than 35 years of successful work as a lawyer and public notary, lic. iur. Matthias Gmünder handed over the management of the law firm in 2015 to his colleague lic. iur. Daniel Frischknecht (lawyer and public notary), who had been working in the law firm since March 2012.
