In 2005, I turned my hobby into my profession and founded Manuela Venturini's Dog Dream. For the first three years, I continued to work part-time in a nursing home for severely disabled people until I increasingly turned my attention to my flair and sensitivity for dogs and realized my dream of becoming self-employed.

 

I began to focus more and more on caring for both well-balanced and behaviorally disturbed dogs. This was followed by the establishment of an adequate dog training school aimed at dog owners who wanted to consciously guide and sustainably change the behavior of their four-legged friends through correct handling, gestures, charisma, and proper interpretation of dog language.

As it was no longer possible to combine both services due to time constraints, I decided to focus on dog care and now offer a dog daycare center and dog boarding facility for individual days or even for the whole week. Here is a brief overview of what I offer:

• Daycare for dogs with drop-off and pick-up service
• Daily walks (2-4 hours) and hikes in a pack
• Dog sitting: 5 days per week (no kennels)

The dogs live with me in my house and garden and experience everyday life similar to what they would at your home. A visit and getting to know each other beforehand is required (breeds subject to licensing and unneutered males are not accepted). In a stable and harmonious pack, your dog will enjoy a high quality of life and is welcome from Monday to Friday!

Facilities

The dog boarding facility offers a maximum of 19 places, 600 m² of outdoor space with a lawn and shaded areas, secured by a 2-meter-high fence. Overnight accommodation in the house and a small dog bath in the outdoor area provide variety and fun.

Care

I understand group care to be controlled, guided pack care with family connections. The animal and its needs are the focus. The dog can move freely and fit into the pack, thus ensuring the dog's basic needs are met. The pack hierarchy is controlled by my presence and recognition as the pack leader, and monitoring helps to avoid displacement activities as much as possible. Guided and consistent pack management builds trust and reduces stress and insecurity among the dogs. The dog boarding facility is recognized by the Veterinary Office of the Canton of Bern, and I am allowed to take in and walk up to 19 dogs at a time.
