Description
Welcome to Wiesendangen
Wiesendangen - the ideal place to live for all generations
In Wiesendangen, you feel at home. With around 6,800 inhabitants and various districts, the municipality is the perfect place to live for young and old. The proximity to nature and the cities of Winterthur and Frauenfeld as well as the quiet and sunny residential area create the ideal environment for a pleasant living climate.
Child daycare, kindergartens as well as primary and secondary schools are located in the center of the Wiesendangen district. Children attend kindergarten and elementary school in the district of Gundetswil.
A well-developed municipal infrastructure for all age groups, a wide range of services, various shopping facilities and good transport links with S-Bahn and freeway connections are further building blocks for an attractive residential community.
Since the merger with the municipality of Bertschikon in 2014, the municipal area of Wiesendangen stretches from the city limits of Winterthur in the west to the cantonal border with Thurgau in the east. The village of Wiesendangen, the administrative center and largest district with around 5,000 inhabitants, forms the administrative center of the municipality. Over the last fifty years, attractive residential areas have been built around the village center, which is protected as a "Bachzeilendorf". The villages of Attikon and Gundetswil are home to around 500 inhabitants each. A further 600 or so people live in the villages of Bertschikon, Bewangen, Buch, Gündlikon, Kefikon ZH, Liebensberg, Menzengrüt, Oberbertschikon, Sammelsgrüt, Stegen and Zünikon.
Initiative authorities, more than fifty active village associations and cultural institutions are committed to ensuring that you can continue to make your life in the independent municipality as pleasant as possible with an attractive tax rate.
We warmly welcome you to "Wisidange"!
