An organization for family care services (DAF)

Bussola provides children, adolescents, and young adults who are unable to live in their usual environment for the short, medium, or long term with a place to stay (a home) in a host or foster family. The aim is to stabilize the situation and enable optimal planning for the future. The families receive professional support from Bussola.

We distinguish between the terms "foster family" for medium to long-term stays and "host family" for short-term measures such as time-outs or crisis intervention. For reasons of better readability, we generally use the term "foster family" on our website.
