Description
Welcome to the W59 dance studio :-) I have been teaching in my W59 for 30 years and am still an enthusiastic dancer and enjoy passing on my passion for dancing to my students.
My motto: MAN MUST DANCE LIFE :-)
A to F = beginner to advanced, whether 13 or over 50, everyone is welcome.
In all lessons, young women as well as older women dance together from beginner to advanced, which creates a great atmosphere.
Teaching
In my lessons I place great emphasis on body awareness combined with spiral dynamics and dance elements from classical ballet, modern dance and jazz dance. Creative dance, improvisation and teaching a good ear for music are also part of the lessons. Of course, the most important thing is to have fun dancing and personal support is also very important to me. Girls, boys, women and men dance in the studio. Entry age is from 12 years, no upper age limit.
Just register for a trial lesson. :-)
Dancing is dreaming with your feet!!!!
Modern jazz dance / contemporary
Modern jazz dance includes soft and flowing figures as well as fast and rhythmic movements and is danced to almost all styles of music. The choreographies can incorporate elements from hip-hop and musicals, as well as Afro or modern dance. Despite the necessary technique from ballet and jazz dance, modern jazz dance leaves plenty of room for personal expression. The dance techniques have developed in many different ways. Principles from which techniques can be derived, such as inhalation and exhalation contraction and release, the principle of gravity fall and recovery and the principle of balance characterize modern jazz dance.
Contemporary dance is the English term for contemporary dance, which is understood as a collective term for the choreographic art of stage dance. This type of dance makes use of modern dance technique, but does not fit into any particular mold, as it is open to new trends in dance and music and is therefore wild, new, young, sensual and changeable.
Classical / Modern Ballet
Both classical ballet and modern ballet use the technique of spiral dynamics to work towards good posture and good flexibility of the whole body. Ballet is particularly helpful for back problems, as strong muscles provide support and relief. Ballet develops the mind and body and is a perfect dance foundation for everyone. From technique to strength, everything is packed into one lesson, rounded off with a choreography from modern dance / contemporary. Ballet can be learned by anyone and whether beginner or advanced, I have the time and patience to teach ballet to each individual.
Pointe dancing
Pointe dancing is what makes ballet special. The strength and control to carry and balance your own body weight is a fine art. The course teaches the basics of pointe dancing. Don't be afraid of broken feet - that won't happen in such a short lesson, on the contrary, your feet will become strong.
Wedding dance
Two left feet? Not in the mood for a standard wedding dance with a waltz? Dancing to your favorite song? I'll be happy to help you make your day even more unforgettable
