Brief explanation of massage types

Partial and full-body massage

Partial and full-body massages relieve tension in the muscles. They stimulate blood circulation and metabolism, which not only improves muscle performance but also reduces the likelihood of renewed tension under normal, balanced strain.

In addition to local, intensive blood circulation, the treatment can harmonize and/or stimulate all organs and the entire musculoskeletal system through reflex action.

     Connective tissue massage

This is a type of reflexology and is a manual treatment that has a segmental/vegetative effect on primarily functional disorders of the internal organs. It is assumed that differences in tension arise in the loose connective tissue of the subcutaneous tissue. These tensions or adhesions in the connective tissue are treated using a special technique to stimulate the tissue until the tension is balanced again.

     Manual lymphatic drainage

Gentle treatment of the lymphatic vessels and nodes stimulates the lymphatic return transport of tissue fluid. This reduces edema (swelling) and removes waste products from the tissue. Tissue nutrition is improved and the immune system is strengthened. The healing process after injuries and accidents is accelerated.

• Venous disorders
• Primary and secondary lymphedema
• After injuries and operations to accelerate the healing process
• After cancer surgery (e.g., mastectomy, only after consultation with the attending physician)
